Water Improvement Project at the Cemetery 2021

Gates have been closed to automobiles for the past month while the first step of upgrades to the cemetery irrigation system is installed by the city, putting an upgraded mainline at the front of the cemetery, a new booster pump and other improvements. The existing manual irrigation is extremely inefficient and overhead irrigation has caused damage to the cemetery monuments over time (please note that the rose, native plant and perennial plant gardens never used overhead watering and have automatic timers). The project may take several more weeks. Please be patient, park on surface streets and walk into cemetery. Spring is the best time to visit!

  1. Please note that the Cemetery maybe closed due to the water improvements. There is a contraction should be done quickly but until then, please be aware that certain sections are closed off to pedestrians as well.
